Ravenstar frowned at the thought of hurting Owlclaw's feelings. "I don't mean it that way Owlclaw. It's just that I've never really been welcomed with open arms back into camp so walking back in with one of their beloved clan members doesn't seem right. I just don't want to ruin anyones reputation." Slowly she shuffled her paws on the ground before turning to sit down on a large twisting tree root that snaked through the ground. Her blue eyes once more turned to the tom. Honestly I don't see why he's talking something like that so seriously. It's not like he really knows me and doesn't understand the way I think. Her thoughts floated in her mind before fading away. "Look Owlclaw you're a lovely tom and I would love to walk back to camp with you, I just don't want others to look at you differently."

i will follow you into the dark Owlclaw ` Warrior ` Thunderclan His tail twitched in an irritated manner. She was worried about his image with the clan? What in the forest was that supposed to mean? Did she really think that he.thought any less of her just because she wasn't clanborn? That was the furthest thing from his mind when he saw the clanleader. He didn't care about blood, it was the inside of the cat that mattered, the actual cat was what mattered. "If it's wrong to be loyal to my leader Ravenstar then you might as well change my name to Wrongclaw or something as ridiculous. There is nothing anycat in that clan can say that will make me think any less of you much less who your parents were and where you are from." He sat down in front of the black She-cat and for once looked her in the eyes. She needed to learn that not all cats cared, that he didn't care. "I'll follow you wherever you go Ravenstar. Never doubt that."

Her tail flicked from one side to another as she listened to Owlclaw speak. Ravenstar never thought of it all that way but his words struggled to sink in. "But not all cats think like that Owlclaw, some just believe in blood lines and I'm as impure as impure can get. I've been taunted with the 'impure' jokes for as long as I could hear and comprehend anything they were saying. It affects the way I think and my way of thinking is like those stubborn cats in their old clan ways." She clawed at the root slowly as she tried to piece together her thoughts but nothing seemed to fit together like a perfect puzzle. Then slowly he jaws parted in a yawn and her whiskers quivered until her jaws clamped shut again.

i will follow you into the dark Owlclaw ` Warrior ` Thunderclan He was listening to her, as he always did but for some reason he just couldn't believe what he was hearing. There were plenty of cats who would still follow her no.matter what. Through older cats were always scared of change and it was ridiculous. "And if any of them tried to lay a paw on you Ravenstar I'd give them a go for all I could. You are the rightful leader of the Thunderclan chosen by the Starclan. No one can dispute that." He stood up and smiled a bit at Ravenstar. His tail twitched back and forth. He was perfectly happy arguing the point all day long if he had to.

Ravenstar cracked a half forced smile but quickly it softened into her natural smile. "You have a rather good way with words Owlclaw." Slowly she scrambled onto a different root before jumping to the ground. Her whiskers quivered as she yawned again as she stretched. Gentle blue eyes caught onto the rustling in the bush not far from them. Quickly she bolted forwards and disappeared but reappeared shortly with a small, scrawny chipmunk. She stashed it away for when they planned to leave because obviously she wasn't going to head back any time soon. For some odd reason she was having fun hanging out with this rather smart tom.

i will follow you into the dark Owlclaw ` Warrior ` Thunderclan He stood up as well, a smile as his leader seemed as though she had decided to stay hunting for a little while. He was glad that he could make her feel a little better. That was when it dawned on him. Ravenstar had no idea who his parents were and the scandal it had caused within the clan. It was far behind in most of the clans mind now and he usually only got dirty looks from the older clan mates. He knew all to well what she was going through. The prey was getting a little low over here, they had been hunting and chatting away for awhile now. "Besides, it's cute of you to be worried about my reputation in the clan. You obviously don't know who I am. We aren't so different you know." His sleek body bunched up as he jumped in the air, pulling a small bird from flight.

She studied Owlclaw with gentle eyes as she wondered what he couple possibly mean with his last statement. Through out her time in the clans she'd never really meddled in others business and in all actuality knew very little about her clan mates. By keeping herself out of other affairs she kept herself in a bubble and she really had no idea why she did so. The only possible reason she could think of was to prevent herself from being hurt again. She'd loved once but then before she realized her feelings Nightclaw had been snatched away because of sickness. "How so?" She finally stated her question after much thought and the only thing the could see was that his clan mates spoke foully of him as well.

i will follow you into the dark Owlclaw ` Warrior ` Thunderclan Owlclaw flicked his tail back and forth. He had been right in thinking that Ravens had no clue about his parents. About how shameful he was to the thunderclan. He wondered what she would say about it. After all, she was the leader. It was her job to make sure all cats were loyal. Would she doubt his loyalty after this? "Well, it's no secret that i was born in the Thunderclan. The secret part is that my father was from Riverclan, and that i have a brother in Riverclan as well." He hadn't thought about his brother in quite some time. He actually tried not to just in case one day he had to meet him in battle.

Ravenstar had turned her attention to the sky as Owlclaw spoke. The tip of her tail twitched as she realized what a gut wrenching feeling the tom must have had when enter a battle after learning that. Even just making the long travel to the new territories walking with Riverclan must have been worse. "Thats awful!I don't think I would be able to go to battle if I had a sibling in another clan." Slowly she let her blue gaze travel back towards the foliage on the forest floor. She thought not being from a clan heritage was bad but couldn't image how much pressure being a half-blood clan cat would be. "How long have you known?" Once again she felt like a terrible clan member because he didn't know Owlclaw's past. Then again she never really talked to the handsome tom and if she had his past was never brought up. Despite knowing this about him didn't change the way she thought of the warrior.

i will follow you into the dark Owlclaw ` Warrior ` Thunderclan Owlclaw tried to ignore the pang of pain in his heart. He knew that his brother would have no problem ripping him to shreds if they met on the battle field. Then again neither would his father. The love that had drove his father to save his mother in a Riverclan raid was long gone from his heart. They all knew that. "The whole time we had traveled here they ignored me, I'm pretty sure that if they had the chance they would have pushed me off one of the cliffs." Owlclaw looked at the ground nervously, his tail twitched wildly. He didn't know how he felt about his family outside the clan. Could he really say they were even family since they were in Riverclan? "I've known since I was a kit. My brother actually used to live in the clan but they decided one of us would stay here and the other would go to Riverclan. I've only seen.him a few times since."

Ravenstar debated with herself on whether or not to reach out and physically try to comfort the tom. The tip of her tail twitched as she shook her head. What a traumatic memory he had to live with. Although at least Oakclaw knew his parents and any siblings he had. "Well I'm glad they didn't push you off a ledge and that you were the one who could stay in Thunderclan" The words she spoke were soft but firm in a gentle meaning. "It's nice because I know I can trust at least one of my clan mates to fight by my side." Her blue gaze flickered about and didn't stay focused on one particular object for more than a split second. Briskly she jumped to action as an acorn dropped from a tree. Hawk like eyes searched the tree branches for what might be another piece of prey to drop on the fresh kill pile. A black feathered crow had perched itself upon an unstable branch that bent under its weight. Certainly if she ran up the tree and the crown didn't fly the branch would snap leading her to the ground. Fighting her wants with the thought of being a broken pile of bones on the ground, she forced herself to sit. Occasionally her tail would twitch as she watched the crown just sit there.
